How to teach a bag new tricks

I bought this Chanel bag because it had a short strap and I tend to avoid shoulder strap bags because they pull on the delicate fabrics I wear. Coco Chanel literally invented the shoulder strap and designed the interlocking chains to evoke a more luxurious look. She was of the opinion that the modern chic woman was busy and needed her hands free. As a matter of fact the house of Chanel has only  15 women who make these iconic chains for the whole world.Anyway I got tired of the bag, was over the straps, until I started carrying it as a clutch. Then the love affair began again. By  the way bags this past fall  winter collection across the  board  were held as oversized clutches.
