Lincoln Center ‘s Mostly Mozart Festival – America’s first indoor summer music festival-was launched as an experiment in 1966. Called Midsummer Serenades: A mozart Festival, its first two seasons were devoted exclusively to music of Mozart. Now a New York institution, Mostly Mozart continues to broaden its focus to include works by Mozart’s predecessors, contemporaries  and related successors. I wore this purple Chanel skirt and Jacket with jeweled buttons. Both elegant choices for this glamorous event.

In our increasingly casual society, there is no longer a hard-and- fast dress code for a Music festival at Lincoln Center. Audience attire runs the gamut from jeans to evening dresses and furs.  Your options are limitless . But if you are going to a beautiful theater  like Lincoln Center to enjoy and hear a beautiful performance, why not dress for it ?

My recommendation  for this event is semiformal  dressing, which is always more fun and creative. The most modern way to dress- for events and everyday life- is by respecting your personality and proportion. You feel more comfortable and at ease. It is only when personality and proportion are regarded that a woman’s natural glamour is enhanced by the dress. You can and should be elegant at this event. It is a concept that never goes out of fashion.
