Founded in 1773, the Bonhams and Butterfieds vintage auction is one of the world’s oldest and largest auctioneers of fine art and antiques. This year they featured fine jewellery, watches and an exceptional selection of historically significant automobiles.
This was the start of a highly anticipated luxury automative weekend. Which began on Thursday with a private pre-opening access to the Bonhams and Butterfields vintage auction, followed by an intimate champagne reception with auction representatives.
For this event I wore this Chanel little black dress with the white sleeves . As Karl Lagerfeld would have us believe that you can never be overdressed or underdressed in a little black dress. Not sure of what to wear exactly, I chose this little black Chanel dress to wear. And it worked very well for the evening . During the day the temperature was warm . However, conditions tended to grow very cold , near 50 degrees toward the end of the day. The material was a jersey that Chanel is well known for and kept me comfortable .
Another important aspect was foot wear. Everyone who knows me knows I live in heels . So when the invitation states resort attire there are perfectly gorgeous choices in wedges to give both height and comfort. So automatically I think 5 inch wedge for height and style as well as comfort to walk about.
Later that evening we enjoyed a multi- course, wine paired welcome dinner hosted by the award winning Napa winery, Shafer Vineyards.
The perfect mix of high end luxury and drama to stand out in the crowd. You know I’m in love!!!! Baci,
