The Goodwood revival is a three-day festival held each September at Goodwood circuit since 1998 for the types of road racing cars and motorcycles that would have competed during the circuit’s original period-1948-1966. Most people dress in period clothes. It is one of the world’s most popular motor race meetings and the only United Kingdom event which recreates the golden era of motor sport from the 1950’s and 1960’s.

In keeping with the dress code and vibe of the revival – I looked to classic pieces from the house of Louis Vuitton. The shape and lines of this Louis Vuitton skirt and blouse evoke the 1950’s era of glamour. Much like what was worn during the golden era of motor sports.

This ensemble was a great way to achieve that authentic look without going to great lengths. Sometimes designers look to the past to draw inspiration when designing  collections. This  Louis  Vuitton skirt and blouse may appear to be a step-back in- time, but the materials are modern. Yet the look is nostalgic enough to fit in with the atmosphere.
