Online shopping can be made real easy and satisfying by following some simple steps that I take to achieve the best purchase experience. You’d be amazed at how many mistakes can be avoided. Mistakes that when all being said can be costly and time consuming.

First know your body  in terms of size and fit very well. Not just for yourself but as to how it relates to the sizing of labels you follow. I try pieces in the store first to understand how pieces fit me from that particular label . Be sure to sit down and raise your arms with the item on to understand how their garments move with your body, don’t just stand still. So you have an idea what size and  material to buy. This visit to a brick and stone store is a crucial step in insuring that there is no confusion in the correct size or shape.

Dresses and skirts are easy to purchase based on their picture online  than pants or shorts. Pants and shorts are tricky due to the inseam that may not fit you in the right location. As a rule, unless I know the fit of the label I try to avoid pants and shorts.

Try to stick to your exact size bearing in mind that most retailers online have their pieces  run on the large size to prevent returns.

Always read return policies and keep in mind time limits posed on returns and exchanges. Be sure to follow all their rules and return the items insured in the same box they came in.

Above all be flexible if there are only large sizes available you may still snag a great find that can be cut down to fit by good tailoring.Take this Versace Skirt I purchased online it was too big for me and I had it cut to my size .
