Life is dynamic, ever changing and fluid: so too must our sense of style move and evolve. Everyone of us should constantly be honing
our style skills and adjusting them to a changing audience. I’m always acutely aware of what I’m wearing and who will be seeing me in it. I keep a good record in my mind as to whether or not they have seem it before or not. Thus potentially avoiding repeats to the same audience. Having a vision – a story in my mind helps.
True style is not about having a closet full of expensive and beautiful things – it is instead about knowing when, where and how to utilize your collection.
Founded in 1909 Chanel is timeless classic and elegant. The French house began by Coco Chanel has been responsible for the creation of a luxury shorthand that is world reknown. Everyone should create their own Chanel story.
Karl Lagerfeld became creative director of Chanel in 1983. The house of Chanel did then become more edgy and urban as a result although it always maintained its original elegance. Karl designs real collections that are Ready-to Wear- Couture. His collections are as important as windows. There has to be a story. Today, people look at fashion looks as fashion shows, girls on the runway, but for the rest of the public, with all the Net and all the modern ways to communicate and all the different products Chanel sells, not only clothes, it keeps the name in a way all over the world being a global brand.
My Chanel story is created here with the combination of the Chanel jacket and coat. Playing off of each other to the best advantage the dark color of the longer coat serves as a frame for the lighter colored tweed jacket. They are both from the same collection and work seamlessly together. By paring these two seemingly different pieces you bring a freshness to the look that is chic and modern.
