I was asked to buy this white leather jacket first at the Chanel store on 57th street here in New York but declined because it was white. I don’t want a second job keeping it clean. However my shopper Eriko at Saks Fifth Avenue presented the matching pants to me and pointed out to me that the color was not white but ecru. The french are so clever. Ecru is a color that is not quite white. As a result a lot easier to maintain and wear. Apparently this is a mainstay color at the house of Chanel. I paired it with the matching shirt and used a Chanel head band as a necktie.
