City dressing – which city are you in?

Life’s about diversity. So when I’m spending any amount of time in a city, I tend to make like the locals while I’m there. If you are feeling a different way in a different environment, go with it.

In Paris, I like to dress more graphic, in crisp white shirts with black trousers and a cinched waist belt.

In New york, I tend to dress up more than in Los Angeles . I go full on with , say  a Chanel jacket with skirts, or Emanuel Ungaro dress and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. I do more fashion  by day and darker colors- red, chocolate, black- by night.

In London, as in New York, I take along a few beautiful coats. I also push the fashion envelope because the  London vibe is edgy , and androgynous. I’ll rock  shorts or skirts  with fitted jacket and vest , like a sexy three -piece suit.

In the Cayman Islands it’s  caftans daily over bikinis, with wedges sunglasses everywhere of course.

In the Hamptons on Long Island  where it would be silly to wear metallic pumps . I slip into wedges (high of course) along with pretty sundresses, and oversized sweaters at night. Nothing structured, just very flowing , almost romantic.

In Aba Nigeria I tend to go with traditional attire with complete head wrap and statement shoes ( high of course).

What’s great about this Chanel skirt is the simplicity and timelessness of the style. It is so simple  in design that it can endure any change -in the city background to fit in with the vibe of the city.
