Those who create are rare; those who cannot are numerous. Therefore, the latter are stronger said Coco Chanel. If you are a fashion enthusiast  like me you are constantly striving  to create fantasy worthy ensembles that require  many  pieces. You believe your art demands an outlet that must be satisfied at all costs.  For the true fashionista the clothing budget is never enough. How do you create a balance of accomplishing your goals but yet staying within your budget.

The simplest way to cover all your design choices but remain with in budget is to look for key pieces in the collection of your choice. If you have done your home work in the past then you would have complimentary pieces from previous collections from which to draw from. Most designer repeat a variation of either a standard piece or silhouette each season.

My current obsession this season is the Paris Dallas felt hat the cut of which is very contemporary and sleek enough to compliment previous Chanel collections. We always regret the things we don’t buy or the things we miss the first time around. The way to win this battle is by selective editing of the collection  and picking pieces that embody the tone of the collection.
